Live, Love and Laugh
This was easily one of my favorite weddings of the year. Jackie ran around lightheartedly yelling “I’m so pretty!” and it set the stage for a spectacular weekend starting from rehearsals to the last dance off at the reception. Steve and Jackie, along with their families, welcomed me with open arms and treated me like one of their own which I very much appreciated, including giving me a hard time with every chance they got. Even their dog Murphy got into the act even though he’s known me since basically birth (I did their engagement photos with him as a puppy:)
These photos is just a small look into a wonderful wedding week with some wonderful people. Live, love, and laugh. That’s what it’s all about. Hope you enjoy these photos as much as I enjoyed capturing their story.
The weekend as told by her bridesmaids and parents:
What can I say about the “DragonHolt” wedding? It has been said that the day can be described in one word: EPIC. The whole weekend was simply magical and a true testament to the love that Jaclyn and Steve have for each other. Having all of their friends and family together in one place was enchanting. It was incredible to observe the love and support that the two of them will have for the rest of their lives. I had said it before, but Steve fit into our family immediately, which is hard to do. The Dragons are known for being incredibly loud but forever welcoming. After meeting all of his childhood friends, it became evident as to why Steve was so comfortable with my family. Steve’s friends and family fit right in with ours, like two peas in a pod.
Even though the whole weekend was magical it did not come without its faux pas along the way. However, the manner in which Jaclyn handled them, and the way Steve supported her throughout it all proves how strong they work together. I can only hope to one day find a love like theirs! – Alicia (MOH)
The rehearsal got off to a rough start with bad directions and traffic, but once we got everyone there it went smoothly! Lots of pictures during and after along with some awkward video interviews 😛 Parking at the restaurant was disastrous but we all some how fit. Dinner was a delicious buffet in a very tight corner. Jackie and Steve made very sweet toasts to their family and bridal parties and gave everyone some awesome gifts (shout out to Jackie for the flips flops, they were crucial at the reception!). The night was a great start to what turned out to be an AMAZING wedding weekend. – Jess

Couldn’t be happier for these two little love birds. Everything from beginning to end was perfection. Without a doubt the air was filled with lots of love. So blessed & honnered to have been apart of celebrating the newly Mr & Mrs as they started their lifetime fairytale.
Getting ready the morning of the big day with the bride to be was one to remember. We kept it classy with mimosa’s, delishious food, some old jams & lots of laughs. Murphy wasn’t shy about joining in on the celebration of his momma & poppa too!! – Stephanie
Some insider knowledge about the ceremony; the bus driver was trying to kick us off the limo before everyone had even walked inside the church!! Talk about impatient! AND he accidentally locked Jaclyn inside (which is why they were so far away before I had to close the door!) Everyone’s entrances went beautifully; I was particularly graceful! It only added to the epic-ness of the day! Luckily the rest of the ceremony went off without a hitch! No one forgot any words or fell walking down the aisle. No rings were dropped to the ground and all the correct names were said!! Watching Steve’s face when those doors opened for Jaclyn was priceless. He looked like he was about to cry! I believe Steve told me later that had my father said something sentimental to him that he might have “lost it”. Lucky for Steve, my father has never known how to be serious and loves to make people smile. The priest did a wonderful job officiating as well as including Steve’s college priest in the ceremony. It was also brilliant to learn about the relics of the church. It was exciting to be in the presence of artifacts that were so old! Being able witness my sister and new brother-in-law pronounce their vows to each other is something that I will cherish for a lifetime. My sister looked so beautiful and happy. I’ve never been more ecstatic for her than I was at that moment she got to say “I Do”. – Alicia (MOH)
Fun. Silly. Love. Three words that describe Jaclyn and Steve’s wedding day perfectly. The day started early with hair, makeup and delicious quiche that was eventually found by their dog Murphy on top of the table! Then it was off to the ceremony. The church was absolutely beautiful and the wedding precession was finished with Alicia ( the MOH) red in the face with embarrassment after the whole church heard her yelling to her father. The newly married couple lead their wedding party to David’s Inn where we took silly pictures by the bar. Then we danced the night away to everything from old school Britney Spears to their wedding song “Cinema.” Throughout the day you can feel the love between the bride and groom and all the guests at the wedding. It was a picture perfect day.
The reception started off with Jaclyn and Steve dancing to a sweet version of “cinema.” The father-daughter dance left most, if not all, of the bridesmaids in tears and the mother-son dance was pretty special. After dinner, many guests headed to the dance floor for a night they will never forget. Jaclyn’s cousin ended up with his shirt off and many dance circles loved by Steve. A few slow dances mixed in, the music had a good flow throughout the night, never leaving the dance floor empty. – Jamie
I’ve known Jackie and Steve for a short year now, and they are truly two of the best people to come into our lives. I thought it was awesome to have neighbors our age and I never knew that would turn into such a great friendship. They are two of the most genuine people I’ve ever met and something about them makes it feel like we’ve been friends forever. Everything about their wedding, they deserved. The reception at David’s Country Inn was absolutely beautiful. It was elegant and had such a beautiful ambiance & atmosphere! I really liked the multiple rooms’ set-up and each was gorgeously decorated. It also made it a lot easier to mix and mingle with all the guests. The food was delicious, the music was great and the photographer was so great, I booked him for my own wedding next year! The entire night was so fun! I remember waking up the next morning and asking Jackie if she could get married again the following weekend so we could do it all over! I can’t remember the last time I had such a fun night; I didn’t want it to end! I consider myself very lucky that I was chosen to be a part of their special day as well as to have watched them grow as a couple over the last year. – Daniella
